medicine practices, and more particularly <strong>emergency medical department<\/strong> (pre- and intra-hospital). These latter, privileged fields of application of POCT, will be able to benefit from <strong>essential tools<\/strong> for a <strong>rapid and accurate<\/strong> diagnosis in critical situations.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>POCTs: a public health issue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>For these examinations to find their place in emergency medical practices, their development must be <strong>ambitious, structured and adapted <\/strong>to their specific characteristics. This event, organized both in-person and remotely, marked the beginning of an <strong>unprecedented national collaboration<\/strong> dedicated to innovation and research in <strong>off-site medical biology for emergency medical services<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>The participants&#8217; enthusiasm resulted in <strong>rich and varied exchanges<\/strong>, punctuated by numerous questions and promising discussions around future collaborative projects. Among the winners, <strong>POCER<\/strong> stands out by structuring an innovative network dedicated to Point Of Care testing in emergency medicine structures, with the ambition of accelerating the development, validation and marketing of safe and efficient medical devices.<\/p>\n\n<p>Launched in 2023, the <a href=\"https:\/\/anr.fr\/fr\/france-2030\/france2030\/call\/appel-a-projets-reseaux-dinvestigations-cliniques-dispositifs-medicaux-et-dispositifs-medicaux-de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">call for projects<\/a> &#8220;C<strong>linical investigation networks &#8211; medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices<\/strong>&#8221; aims to structure clinical research in France by financing the creation and development of public and private investigation networks dedicated to medical devices as well as in vitro diagnostic medical devices.<\/p>\n\n<p>This call for projects responds to the major challenges revealed or accentuated by the health crisis, as well as to the application of the new European regulations <strong>MDR 2017\/745<\/strong> and <strong>IVDR 2017\/746<\/strong>, which impose reinforced requirements in terms of quality, safety and performance of devices. Medical device manufacturers now face significant challenges in ensuring their products comply with these stringent standards.<\/p>\n\n<p>Despite a recognized and very dynamic research and innovation ecosystem, France is struggling to fully capitalize on its domestic market.
